One of the world’s most important Companies for the production of aviation ground support equipment was about to design and build a new production site in France.
In the inspection area, it was essential to test the vehicles at the end of the assembly line before sending them out to the airports all throughout the continent.
Due to the variety of vehicles, it was necessary to design a suitable gas extraction system that would completely satisfy their requirements.
After a preliminary analysis of their range of vehicles, the WORKY team, together with the producer’s engineers , focused also on their unusual exhaust pipes, which are not always in easy to reach position.
The best solution was identified as the WORKY mechanical reel GMR15012.5 equipped with 12.5 mt of completely crash proof flexible hose, heat resistant to 200°C.
WORKY suggested the customer to complete the hose reel by adding a GM micro switch, a very handy accessory that enables the operator to start and stop the centralized fan just by pulling or releasing the hose. This prevents the operator from walking back and forward to switch the fan on and off, saving on time and on electricity.
For connecting the vehicles to the system, WORKY selected a specific nozzle GMN-150MAG, that has a magnet which facilitate the connection to the exhaust pipe.
Last but not least, in order to guarantee a total extraction of gases, as well as a contained level of noise in the working area, it was essential to select a suitable fan and also of course, the dimensioning of piping.
WORKY assisted the customer also in the bodyshop area, supplying a state of the art centralized dust extraction system.
The WORKY team followed the whole installation process all the way to the final commissioning.

There was a project for a factory in China where they would produce these vehicles for the whole Asian continent. The French branch gave them a clear guideline: as for the gas extraction system, rely on WORKY.
